Rick’s Picks, a Dino-Mite Exhibit at the Burpee Museum of Natural History (website opens in new window)

Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen and the Burpee Museum of Natural History launched a new exhibit, Rick’s Picks: Rick Nielsen’s Lifelong Affair with Guitar’s and Music, on August 11th, 2012.

AXE HEAVEN has worked with Rick over the years on various miniature guitars, but this year we finished the officially licensed Rick Nielsen Five-Neck Checkered Miniature Guitar Replica.

After having our design team work on samples for this project for a number of years, Rick finally approved the finished product with his blessing.

Rick signed a number of the miniature guitars for the museum exhibit’s opening night and all proceeds will be going to the Burpee Museum. We asked Dan Roszkowski, a close friend of his, if Rick liked the finished five-neck mini this time and he said, “Rick loves the final product and wouldn’t have signed them if he didn’t.”
