Create an Export folder on your computer into which you will download the export files.

  1. After you create new product(s) in a Shopify store, go to the Products page in the admin dashboard.
  2. Search for the newly added products (for example: “drum” or the artist’s name)
  3. Place a checkmark in the box on the left of each product you want to export
  4. At top-right corner of page (next to blue “Add product” button) click drop-down menu (three blue dots)
  5. Choose Export from menu
  6. In pop-up window, click “Export:” radio button for “Selected: x products” (x = the number of products you checked)
  7. In same pop-up window, click “Export as:” radio button for “CSV for Excel, Numbers, or other spreadsheet programs”
  8. In same pop-up window, click blue “Export Products” button
  9. Save file into Export folder on your computer. Be sure to change name of file from “product_export.csv” to something that identifies the products you’re exporting (like “170501-drums.csv”), because otherwise all of the CSV files you export will have the same name.
  10. Login to the admin dashboard of the other Shopify store, then go to the Products page
  11. At top-right corner of page (next to blue “Add product” button) click drop-down menu (three blue dots)
  12. Choose “Import” from menu to access pop-up window, then click the silver “Choose File” button
  13. Select the CSV file you just exported into the Export folder on your computer
  14. Click “Upload File” button in bottom-right corner of pop-up window
  15. The pop-up window will switch to a “Preview your first product” window; verify the product shown is part of the export you want
  16. After verification, click the blue “Start Import” button at bottom-right of pop-up window
  17. The pop-up window will switch to a “Your products are importing” window
  18. When the import is complete, you’ll still be on the Products dashboard page
  19. Do a search (for example: “drum” or “sparkle” or the artist’s name) to find the newly imported products
  20. Open each product you’ve imported in the dashboard to update the price of it. Click “Save” button.
  21. At top-right corner of page (next to “Save” button) click drop-down menu (three blue dots)
  22. Choose “View” from menu to open product (in new browser tab) to verify product page is correct
