Ramones Help Redirect Rock

If you know rock music, you know the importance and influence of the Ramones and their seminal guitarist Johnny Ramone. They helped launch and popularize the punk rock era in the mid-1970s with classics like “I Wanna Be Sedated,” “Blitzkrieg Bop,” “Sheena Is a Punk Rocker,” and the quintessential song about everyone’s favorite place to learn: “Rock and Roll High School.”

About Mosrite Guitars

The Ventures with Mosrite Guitars
The Ventures with Mosrite Guitars

On the other hand, you may not be familiar with Mosrite Guitars, which was founded in 1956 by luthier Semie Moseley and ceased operations in the early 1990s.

Mosrite achieved fame for supplying custom guitars to a few Nashville-based country artists, as well as The Ventures, an early instrumental rock band that had the global radio hit “Walk Don’t Run” in 1960. The company had a licensing agreement with the band that resulted in the creation of their Ventures, Ventures II, and Ventures Bass guitars, which included the 1965 model we’ve replicated as a handcrafted miniature collectible through an agreement with the Johnny Ramone Estate.
