Joe Strummer was one of the founding fathers of British “punk rock” music. As the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for The Clash, his influence on music and culture is hard to match. The many serious topics he sang about in the heated political climate of the mid-1970’s was courageous. The wide variety of musical styles he injected into his music — including ska, dub, funk, reggae, rockabilly, and rap — was equally impressive.

With Joe’s rebel spirit in mind, AXE HEAVEN® is positively outraged at the release of our new Officially Licensed Joe Strummer Fender™ Telecaster™ Signature Relic Mini Guitar Replica. We hope you are too and that you do something about this grave injustice. Adding this mini to your collection — or gifting one to a friend — would show the world exactly where you stand. (A-frame stand included!)

Joe Strummer: A True Legendary Artist

Joe Strummer was as much an activist and historian as he was a musician. He used his musical platform to document and promote his beliefs about current events at home and abroad. Most of the time, he did not have nice things to say about the state of the world.

Despite an anti-establishment perspective, Joe’s revolutionary band became a huge commercial success. The Clash sold millions of records and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.

The Clash’s album London Calling was voted #1 in Rolling Stone magazine’s original 100 Best Albums of the Eighties list. When it was released, many of the now-classic songs from this double-album were played on radios worldwide. They were on all the time everywhere — usually at high volume! Rock out to the video below of that album’s title track.
